Who Took the Car?

Mira has a red car. The car says vroom vroom. The pug Pop listens. Pop says woof.

The car is gone. Where is the car? Where is vroom?

Mira looks under the chair. She looks in the box. She looks behind the curtain. No car.

Pop sniffs. Sniff, sniff. Clue!

Small tracks on the carpet. Two stripes of sand. Wheel tracks!

Wet drops on the floor. Plop. Plop. Water.

A yellow down. Soft. Small. Down sticks to Pop.

Mira points. Wheel tracks. Water. Yellow down. Who likes water? Who is yellow? The duck Quack!

Out to the yard. Forward to the tub. Splash! Quack, quack!

There floats the red car. It says vroom in the bath. Quack pushes it with its beak.

Mira smiles. Pop wags. Car found!
