The Little Moon Wizard
The sky is deep and blue. Stars twinkle like tiny bells. A small wizard walks softly. His name is Pip. He wears a little hat and carries a blue wand. It is bedtime.
On the moon sits Mimi the cat. She purrs, silver and soft. Pip smiles, then taps his wand: Tap, tap, tap. He whispers a kind spell: "Glow low, glow slow." The moonlight turns gentle. Mimi curls like a comma and sleeps.
A star bunny, Boo, bounces. Boo sparkles and giggles, but a growing sleepiness tugs at Boo. Pip taps his wand: Tap, tap, tap. "Hush now, little star." The bounce becomes a sway. Boo drifts like a feather and sleeps.
A big, puffy, white cloud whale floats by. It sings a quiet whooo. Pip pets the soft cloud, then taps his wand: Tap, tap, tap. "Blanket, blanket, cozy night." The cloud becomes a blanket. The whale yawns and sleeps.
The wind is slow. The world is still. Pip looks around at the calm, kind sky. He snuggles into his robe and whispers to the night: "Good night, moon. Good night, stars. Good night, friends. Good night, you." Pip smiles. The stars blink. The night whispers back: "Sleep, little wizard." And Pip sleeps.
The end
