Little Race

The grass is soft. The sun is warm. A yellow whistle. A red flag. Mira has blue shoes. Otto has a striped cap. Bo has a green shirt. They stand on a white line. The crowd shouts. Go, go!

Beep! The race starts. Run, run, run. Mira flies lightly. Otto jumps high. Bo rolls the ball. The ball rolls fast. Rrrrr, says the ball.

Stop! The ball gets stuck. It gets stuck under the bench. Mira looks in. Otto crawls down. Bo reaches the hand. Three small hands. Pull, pull, pull. Plop! The ball is free. Go, team!

They run again. Hand in hand. One, two, three. They jump over cones. They spin around the stick. Beep! Goal! The white line. The crowd claps. Clap, clap, clap.

A sticker with a sun. A small medal. Water tastes cold. Cheeks are red. Smiles are big. Mira says: We did it. Otto says: Together. Bo says: One more time!
