Maja pads home again. Pad, pad, pad. Tall grass tickles her nose. A snail leaves a glittery path. The wind is mild. The moon shines like a lamp. Everything feels close. Everything feels safe.

Maja nestles back into her soft nest. She makes a cozy bed with a soft leaf. She hugs her tail tip. She closes her eyes. She breathes in. She breathes out. It is quiet. It is soft. The night is kind. The world says: Sleep now, little Mouse Maja. Maja smiles. She falls asleep.
