Bibi and Nino

It is evening. The sky is soft and blue. The moon is round and kind. Bibi is a little bear. Nino is a little hedgehog. They are friends. They walk on a path. The path smells of pine and apple.

Nino says: Ouch! A little twig is stuck in the spines. Nino stands still. Bibi sees. Bibi nods. Bibi says: I help you. I help you now. Bibi pulls gently. The twig comes loose. Nino smiles. Nino says: Thank you, my friend. I help you. I help you later.

They walk on. The wind whispers softly. A little brook says pling, pling. Bibi drops her little blanket. The blanket slides down. Bibi looks sad. Nino sees. Nino nods. Nino says: I help you. I help you now. Nino rolls close. Nino pushes the blanket with the nose. The blanket is here. Bibi smiles.

Two friends. Two small hearts. They share an apple. They share a laugh. They say: I help you. You help me. Together we are brave. Together we are calm.

The stars blink. The air is still and warm. Bibi and Nino creep close. Paw against paw. Nose against nose. They whisper: Good night, friend. Good night, forest. Good night, moon. Eyes close. Breaths are soft. Friendship rests. The night is kind.
